Irish actress Brenda Fricker, who became famous in the movie “Home Alone 2” as the woman with the pigeons, make the world sad with the statement how she will spend the Christmas holidays.
The actress, who is remembered for her role in the legendary film that is shown every year during the holidays, talked about how she will spend Christmas in a radio show.
“I am now 75 years old and I would be lying if I said I would have a nice and happy Christmas because I am one of those people who are old and living alone, so this period can be very dark,” Fricker said.
“I turn the phone off and put the blinds down. I do pre-record some good programmes and I have my dog and I get myself through it that way.”
The actress who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in “My Left Foot” has revealed that she threw her Oscar in a swimming pool at a hotel in Conemara.
Brenda was married to Barry Davis for nine years and divorced in 1988. Barry died two years later, and she was unable to attend his funeral. She was filming the “Brides of Christ” series in Australia at the time, and the contract did not allow her to return home.
“I became hysterical and packed my bags when I got a call that he was dead. They did not want to let me go home because I was his ex-wife. “I do not know where he is buried and I do not want to know,” the actress said 5 years ago in an interview.

Brenda and Barry divorced because of his alcohol problem, but they still loved each other madly.
“We were madly in love despite everything. He was always a wonderful and interesting man, but he became an alcoholic and I could not live with that. “We were not scared of the divorce either, and after the divorce we continued to see each other because we were in love,” Fricker said.
Brenda, who retired from acting in 2014, has not remarried following the end of her nine-year marriage to director Barry Davies in 1988.
