Robbie Williams has penned a Covid-19 Christmas song


The 46-year-old singer/songwriter’s new track, ‘Can’t Stop Christmas’, references the 2020 pandemic but says nothing will stop the festive celebrations this year.

The signer, takes a tongue-in-cheek look back at the past 12 months, with references to hand sanitiser, social distancing and Zoom calls.

The song appeared on the new special edition of his album “Christmas Gift” which was released last year.

“The song reminds us that even when Christmas is canceled, we can all celebrate it without grouping,” Williams said.

“Santa is on his sleigh, but now he is two meters away,” he sings in the song.

The Christmas Gift album is a mix of new and classic holiday songs, and Williams has collaborated on it with names like Brian Adams and Rod Stewart, as well as boxing champion Tyson Fury.
