The “cure” for colds and viral illnesses with baking soda was popular in America 100 years ago. This white powder can not be stored in medicines, but it has been proven to help with many problems, not just health.
It has long been known that maintaining a balanced pH in the blood is very important for strong immunity and protection against disease.
And one safe and inexpensive remedy that can help is baking soda.
In the distant 1924, the American doctor Wally S. Cheney in a study on the medical use of baking soda described how it helps protect against colds and flu.
Dr. Cheney found that he himself had succeeded in “treating” patients with colds and flu with baking soda. According to him, those who alkalized the body rarely got the flu, and those who would get infected, if they started “therapy” immediately, had mild flu symptoms.
Studies have shown that people who consumed baking soda were more protected from disease, while those who did not were more likely to get sick.
Here’s how colds and flu are “treated” with baking soda, prescribed by Dr. Wolney:
Day 1: 6 times 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water at intervals of approximately 3 hours.
Day 2: 4 times 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water at regular intervals.
Day 3: 2 times 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water in the morning and evening, then consume 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water every morning until the symptoms disappear.
